MTN's Rwanda subsidiary has outlined plans to spend around US$20 million on network upgrades during this year.
MTN CEO, Ebenezer Asante said that the company is focusing on mobile data upgrades, especially due to the increased use of social media services.
He said that the company is also looking to improve reliability with the improvements of network backhaul and a stronger fibre link to reduce downtime.
Asante added that there is continued company growth despite increased competition and the challenges posed by SIM registration regulations.
