T-Mobile Customers Warned of Personal Data Security Leak:

T-Mobile customers in the USA may be about to receive letters warning them that their personal account information may have been access by a hacker.
It's not T-Mobile USA that caused the leak, which took place at a 3rd-party supplier, but T-Mobile will be the one handling the public relations aftermath of yet another privacy breach.
According to a statement published by a California based government agency, the company will be sending out letters to an unnamed number of customers warning them that their personal details may have been downloaded without authorisation.
In this case, credit card details were not affected.
T-Mobile USA says that the unnamed supplier has taken action to prevent further security breaches, and it is offering affected customers a year's subscription to Experian's ProtectMyID Elite, which tracks unauthorised use of personal information.
