What are said to be the first images of a smartphone that can run either
Android or the Firefox OS have been leaked onto the internet.
As it stands, the handset is a generic slab with touchscreen and a few menu
buttons, along with the usual camera on the back.
It's not the external appearance that matters though, as it looks like all
the other smartphones out there, but the way the internal software will be able
to switch between the two competing software platforms.
The smartphone, which was hinted at just a couple of months ago by Geeksphone
is said to come with a 4.7-inch display screen and runs on an Intel 1.6Ghz
processor.
The issue is whether consumers will take to the idea of dual-booting their
smartphone, or if this will simply be a device used by app developers who want
to save the hassle of using different handsets for testing on different software
platforms.
