Majority of Mexico City Mobile Users Lose Service for 80 Minutes:

Customers of Mexico's dominant mobile network were left without service across the capital city yesterday following a major network outage.
The fault at a Telcel switch started sporadically at 11am, but was totally down by 11:21am, the company confirmed in a statement.
It took until 12:42pm to restore services after it had identified a software bug in the network switch.
The outage only affected voice services, leaving data and messaging working normally.
The mobile network has a market share of around 70% so the outage would have affected an unusually large number of customers, and is the second such event in the past two years.
The regulator is now investigating the cause of the fault.
